Invader leaves traces in Ljubljana again!

16 March 2021

These days, the internationally renowned French street artist Invader is in Ljubljana, exhibiting graphic at the International Centre of Graphic Arts (MGLC) in Ljubljana.

The urban artist is known for his ceramic tile mosaics modelled on the pixelated art of 1970s–1980s 8-bit video games, many of which depict the titular aliens from the 1978 arcade game Space Invaders (the inspiration for his pseudonym).

As of December 2020, his creations can be seen in highly-visible locations in 79 cities in 33 countries. (Source: Wikipedia)

In Ljubljana already in 2006

In 2006, when he visited Ljubljana for the first time, he left 20 creations on the city streets. But it seems that some new artworks recently appeared in the streets of Ljubljana …

Invader works incognito, often masked and largely at night.

Here’s ANOTHER recent one!

An exhibition of his prints on paper is on display at the MGLC until 18 May, and his mosaic has appeared on the streets of the capital.
