The Dragon Who Landed At Ljubljana Castle
The famous bronze dragon from the Dragon Bridge ( which has also been part of the coat of arms of the city of Ljubljana since the Baroque period) has its alter ego.
Light, but strong
It’s a lighter version of the bronze one – made of an aluminum wire. Its author is Slovenian sculptor and artist Tea Curk Sorta, whose dragon figure has already delighted many.
Her dragon made from more than 2100 meters of wire was a central figure Dragon of All Dragons exhibition in 2018. But with occasional trips, the great and courageous creature is now a resident of the Ljubljana Castle.
It can be found it in the Lower lapidarium, near the upper station of the Ljubljana Castle funicular.
