The new delicacy from Bled is similar, but not identical, to the popular Bled kremšnita.
Two layers of vanilla cream on a butter dough base, topped with a thin layer of apricot marmalade, with a chocolate coating – what’s there not to love! Those who have already tried it are praising the combination of flavours, and they also like that it is slightly smaller than the large Bled kremšnita.
It is said to have been originally created by none other than the famous and somewhat eccentric Swiss healer Arnold Rikli (1823-1906), who presented it to his guests at his Bled health centre. But its modern version is also worth craving for.
