Eating Good And Cheap In Ljubljana: Klobasarna

The fast-food restaurant offers a range of sausages, including the popular Slovenian “kranjska klobasa” (Carniolan sausage). A place to try some other typical Slovenian food, too!

Klobasarna is a well-known place in Ljubljana’s Old Town, Slovenia. It is renowned for serving traditional Slovenian cuisine, particularly focusing on various types of sausage dishes.

These sausages are often served with mustard, horseradish, and freshly baked bread.

Klobasarna is a favorite spot among locals and tourists alike for its delicious and affordable meals. It’s a great place to grab a quick bite to eat while exploring the charming streets of Ljubljana’s historic centre.

We’ve had the Carniolan sausage (kranjska klobasa in Slovene) several times here and were always happy with our meal. Also, their “jota with klobasa” (photo below) is something worth ordering.

You can get a quick meal/snack in Ljubljana Old Town for two people for between 10 – 12 euros. For non-meat eaters there is an option of a fresh, tasty and hot bowl of ričet (barley and bean stew).

Indoor or outdoor seating at the address Ciril – Metodov trg 15
